Kenny Morrow

One of the hardest working men in music is Kenny Morrow. Kenny started playing bass on an aircraft carrier somewhere in the Pacific Ocean while in the Navy. "I played my first gig at this sweat box in the Philippines. They paid us in beer and I was so nervous I got drunk as hell before we played. It was the muggiest little hole in the wall I've ever been in, and we sucked... but damn, it was a good time," remarks Kenny when asked about his first live gig ever.

Since then, he has established himself as a phenomenal player in and around the Washington DC area. "He's like our best kept secret," says Travis Williams, "If I screw up or Erick plays in the wrong key, I listen for the bass line to bring me home." Kenny's straight ahead style complements John Peterson's hard hitting drums and lays the groundwork for Thomas' jams.

Kenny is a native of Georgia and fan of every possible kind of music you've ever heard of. He brings it all in and uses it to play with more heart and soul than most. From a swampy bass line reminiscent of the Chicago blues scene, to an uptempo shuffle from his days in punk bands, Kenny continually raises the bar on himself, and the rest of the band, night in and night out.

This man has a love for all music like no other.
